Zusammenfassung

The South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a warehouse/support role to assist with issuing parts, maintaining inventory, and coordinating the receipt, storage, and disposal of property. The position includes loading/unloading, and special transport tasks as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and 6 months of related work experience, with the possibility of working outdoors and during inclement weather. Benefits for state employees apply.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma and six (6) months of work experience directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence.

Aufgaben

• Assist with issuing parts, equipment, and supplies, and maintain inventory records of supplies and equipment on hand.
• Operate two-way radio relaying and receiving messages from road crews to Repair Shop staff.
• Assist with posting mechanic parts and labor on job sheets.
• Perform duties associated with central warehousing, distribution, and service-oriented operations when assigned by supervisor.
• Assist in coordinating the receiving, storage, and disposal of obsolete, junked, and unserviceable property.
• Unload vehicles delivering property to the county Supply Depot and organize property for inspection by the Surplus Property Office.
• Assist in loading property for transport.
• Assist with special requested services such as office furniture moves, package pickups and deliveries, and transporting other various types of materials from one location to another.
