Job summary

Wake Forest University is seeking a Surplus and Event Technician to assist with surplus management, event support, and campus relocations. You will help move and store items, operate equipment, and ensure high levels of customer service across campus locations, including Reynolda campus.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with related experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint and Google Drive.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with two years of related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills for university customers.

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surplus management, including collection, transportation, and delivery of surplus goods.
• Support daily staff oversight and operations.
• Assist with moving furniture/equipment for faculty/staff relocations and events.
• Set up, operate, and store event supplies and equipment for campus events.
• Operate pallet jacks, dollies, carts, and other moving equipment.
• Help maintain clean and safe warehouse spaces and vehicles.
