Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking an exceptional Surgery Veterinary Technician to join our Surgery Team. You will provide nursing care to stable patients, place peripheral IV catheters, monitor vital signs, set up and manage IV fluids, and support doctors during surgery and recovery.

The role requires independence and a collaborative team approach; a minimum of two years in a veterinary hospital is preferred and a rotating on-call schedule follows training.

Qualifications

• Nursing care for veterinary patients.
• IV catheter placement experience preferred.
• Ability to monitor vital signs and support fluids.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to stable patients per hospital standards.
• Place peripheral IV catheter in cephalic vein.
• Monitor vital signs, fluids, and patient response.
• Assist veterinarians during procedures and surgeries.
• Communicate post-operative updates to clients.
