Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in North Dakota seeks a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Unit (Acute Care) to provide comprehensive inpatient care across general, orthopedic, urology and related surgeries.

You will perform assessments, plan and implement care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize recovery and discharge planning. NEW GRADS welcome; 12-hour rotating shifts; sign-on bonus and relocation available.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing.
• NEW GRADS WELCOME!
• Active RN license in good standing with North Dakota or compact state.
• BLS certification within orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult surgical and acute medical patients.
• Manage post-operative recovery, wound care, drains, pain control and mobility.
• Assess vitals, review labs, adjust care as patient condition changes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists and therapists for discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, medications and care at home.
• Document care, interventions and responses accurately and timely.
