CHI St. Alexius Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Unit (Acute Care).

You will provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from surgery and acute conditions, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and educate families on post-surgical recovery and discharge plans. The role requires RN licensure in good standing, BLS, and a willingness to support post-operative care across general, orthopedic, urology, and gynecology cases.

Formación

• Nursing degree from an approved school.
• NEW GRADS WELCOME!
• Active RN license in good standing with North Dakota Board of Nursing or compact state
• BLS certification within orientation period and re-certification as required
• Good communication skills for patient, family, staff interactions
• Maintains confidentiality and professional conduct

Responsabilidades

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients with diverse surgical and acute medical needs.
• Implement and manage individualized post-operative care plans and wound/drain management.
• Monitor vitals, interpret labs, and adjust care as patient condition changes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, hospitalists, therapists, case managers, and other staff.
• Educate patients and families on recovery, medications, and post-discharge care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
