CHI St Alexius Health Bismarck seeks a Clinical Nursing Manager for the Operating Room to lead perioperative nursing, coordinate surgical services, and uphold patient safety and outcomes. The role emphasizes collaboration with nurses, surgical techs, anesthesia providers, and surgeons.

Required BSN, ND RN or compact state license, and BLS/ACLS on hire; 3+ years of leadership (or 5 years, or Master's with no experience) with preferred MSN/MHA/MBA. Sign-On Bonus and relocation available.

Qualifications

• Required Education: BSN.
• Required Experience: 3 years of leadership OR 5 years in leadership OR Master's with no experience.
• LICENSURE: ND RN license or a compact state.
• CERTIFICATIONS: BLS and ACLS upon hire.
• Competencies: perioperative nursing knowledge, nursing administration, laws, regulations, and professional standards; project management, communication, planning, change management.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for staff management including hiring, orientation, training, evaluations, and corrective actions.
• Allocate staffing across the Operating Room to meet surgical volume and emergencies.
• Manage unit performance with goals, feedback, and recognition.
• Monitor patient engagement, quality initiatives, and safety in the surgical environment.
• Coordinate operating systems, service standards, and communications to align with policies.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, AORN, and regulatory standards for perioperative nursing.
