Job summary

UNC Health Hillsborough Campus is seeking a Clinical Support Technician II for the 25-bed surgical unit, which handles Joint, Spine, Urology, and General Surgery admissions with medical overflow. This role supports professional caregivers, transports patients and equipment, and maintains patient room readiness in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or GED, NC Nursing Assistant I/II credentials, BLS, and at least one year of clerical or customer

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Listed as Nursing Assistant I by the North Carolina DHHS.
• Licensed as Nursing Assistant II by the North Carolina DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of clerical or customer service experience and three months nursing assistant experience.
• Fluent in verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with routine exams and procure equipment and supplies.
• Review patient care documentation and report significant changes to RN or physician.
• Perform clerical tasks: organize workload, greet visitors, transcribe orders, maintain records.
• Provide PI audits and data entry support.
• Provide clinical support: transport patients and supplies, assist with orientation.
• Provide direct patient care as outlined in the plan of care, including vitals and basic procedures.
