Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in related discipline; Bachelor's preferred.
• Graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
• Possess a credential in the field through a national certification program accredited by NCAA.
• At least 3 years of operating room scrub or surgical technology teaching experience in the past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of practice and education trends and accreditation standards.
• Identify, select, contract with, monitor and evaluate clinical sites; maintain documentation for credentialing requirements.
• Visit clinical sites at least once per rotation to ensure relevant experiences.
• Establish clinical schedules and evaluate student learning experiences with program staff.
• Place students for internships/practicum assignments and advise on program areas of interest.
• Ensure compliance with policies; develop and maintain reports for clinical experiences.
