Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking adjunct faculty to teach Surgical Technology courses on an as‑needed, semester basis with 8 or 16 week contracts. Faculty deliver instruction according to college policies and course objectives and maintain accurate records.

Qualified candidates hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, are CST (or CNOR prior to 2003), and have one year of clinical operating room experience (three years for chairs).

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.
• Be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
• One year of clinical experience in the operating room (three years for program chairs).
• Deliver instruction per program standards and maintain proper records.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned Surgical Technology classes in accordance with course objectives.
• Develop syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades; ensure FERPA compliance.
• Engage with students using active teaching strategies and technology.
