Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College- South Bend is seeking adjunct faculty to teach on an as-needed, part-time basis in the Healthcare Specialist area. Adjuncts are hired each semester to create a learning environment that helps students reach their goals and to provide instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi.

Responsibilities include delivering assigned classes, using available technology to enhance methods, developing course materials, and maintaining accurate student records.

Qualifications

• Understanding of current technologies relevant to the instruction area.
• Appreciation and promotion of diversity in teaching and learning.
• Faculty teaching CNA clinical portions must hold an Indiana nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classes per policy and course objectives.
• Utilize technology to enhance instructional methods.
• Develop and update course outlines, syllabi, plans, and assessments.
• Keep accurate student records and grades.
• Engage with students to promote active learning and engagement.
• Collaborate professionally with colleagues and follow campus policies.
• Implement safety procedures for classrooms and labs.
