Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in Surgical Technology or higher, CAAHEP-certified credential, five years of relevant experience, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Possesses an associate degree in Surgical Technology or higher.
• Holds a national certification in Surgical Technology accredited by CAAHEP.
• Minimum five years of OR scrub or instructional experience within the last ten years.
• Proficient in instructional methodology, curriculum design, and program planning.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Delivers assigned Surgical Technology classes per course objectives.
• Utilizes technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
• Supports retention by assisting students to complete the program.
• Maintains course outlines, syllabi, assignments, and evaluations.
• Keeps accurate student records and grades according to policy.
• Engages with students professionally to foster positive learning experiences.
• Follows all college policies and safety procedures in classrooms and labs.
