Z Center for Advanced Surgery in Deerfield Beach, FL is hiring a Surgical Technologist to join a brand-new ambulatory surgery center. Work under physicians and RNs, ensuring sterile technique and efficient OR setup.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program with CPR certification and 0-2 years of related experience, plus a focus on urology. Excellent OR team collaboration and patient safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be CPR certified with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.
• Urology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before operations.
• Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures following hospital regulations.
• Prepare patient skin, body, and medical equipment for surgery.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify functionality.
• Get patients ready for surgery, including cleaning and disinfecting incision sites.
• Transport patients to OR, position them, and apply sterile drapes.
• Assist team with gowns, gloves, and instrument passing during surgery.
• Count sponges, needles, and supplies and assist with specimen handling.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and related equipment.
• Assist with post-operative transfer to recovery and OR restock.
