Job summary

Cody Regional Health in Cody, Wyoming is seeking a Surgical Technician/Technologist for the Operating Room to assist the surgical team and endoscopy staff. The role provides safe, skilled patient care and requires readiness to work with age-diverse patients.

This full-time day position (0630–1700) includes call, requires at least two years of surgical tech experience or completion of an accredited program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of surgical tech experience or completion of an accredited surgical tech program.
• Certification testing by the Association of Surgical Technologists preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the OR Circulating RN in preparing the room for surgery, including sterile packages and equipment.
• Set up instruments and equipment required for procedures.
• Maintain a sterile operating room environment.
• Adhere to safety and infection control standards.
• Serve on committees and as a team member of Surgical Services.
• Provide guidance to coworkers and assist with stocking and organization.
• Check stock for expirations and rotate as needed to avoid outdated supplies.
• Improve efficiency for surgeons and other staff in the OR.
