Job summary

OrthoVirginia is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Lynchburg surgical team. You will scrub in for procedures, prepare instruments, and maintain a strict sterile field to support optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires a Virginia license, BLS certification, and willingness to work a 3-12 hour shift with on-call, holidays, and weekends. Experience in sterile processing is preferred, and a signing bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Current Virginia Surgical Technologist license and BLS certification.
• Experience in sterile processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the scrub technologist during surgical and invasive procedures.
• Assemble, prepare, and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
• Ensure proper sterile technique and field maintenance at all times.
• Assist with sterile draping and provide instruments to the surgical team.
• Clean and prepare instruments for decontamination and transport.
• Support turnover and setup of operating rooms between procedures.
• Participate in ongoing education and skills validation.
