Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech to support Cardinal Health operations in Liberty, Louisiana. You will independently scrub procedures across general and specialty surgeries, applying advanced knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Responsibilities include preparing the operative field, anticipating instrument and implant needs, and mentoring peers in safety practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in surgical technology from a CAAHEP-accredited program or ABHES-accredited program.
• Formal military training in surgical technology (Army 68D, Navy Hospital Corpsman, Air Force Surgical Services Specialist).
• 2+ years of work experience in a related surgical tech role.

Responsibilities

• Independently scrub surgical procedures in all specialties.
• Prepare for procedures with advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and pharmacology.
• Mentor others in equipment safety and knowledge; resolve safety concerns and escalate when needed.
• Ensure cost-effective usage of supplies and equipment to facilitate patient care.
