Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in accordance with federal, state and accreditation standards and facility policies. Schedule: PRN.

The role involves organizing equipment, anticipating physician needs, and ensuring sterile processing standards are followed to support high-quality patient care. You will assist nurses and physicians, keep suites clean and stocked, and participate in inventory management while maintaining compliance with

Qualifications

• Proof of ID and right to work in the United States.
• Experience working in an operating room.
• BLS certified.
• Two or more years of hospital operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Organize equipment, instruments and supplies for cases according to patient needs and physician preference.
• Anticipate the needs of the physician and have equipment, instrumentation, medical gases and supplies readily available for all procedures.
• Trouble-shoot equipment problems and ensure all equipment is functioning before use.
• Keep surgical suites clean, tidy, free of soiled equipment and supplies and properly stocked.
• Wear appropriate attire in restricted areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of sterile processing standards and practices along with safe care and handling of instrumentation.
• Assist with inventory management.
