Job summary

HUMBLE VASCULAR SURGICAL CENTER INC in Wichita, KS is seeking a Surgical Technologist for a PRN position. You will join the operating room team, assist surgeons and nurses, and help prepare sterile instruments and the OR environment.

You must graduate from an accredited surgical technologist program and be CPR certified with 0-2 years of related experience. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative support and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up surgical instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before operations.
• Tends to the patient during pre-operation procedures and ensures sterile technique.
• Assembles sterile and non-sterile equipment and checks it for proper functioning.
• Prepares patients by cleansing incision sites and positioning for surgery.
• Assists surgeons and team by passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Helps transfer patients post-operation and restocks the operating room.
