Job summary

Humble Vascular Surgical Center Inc is seeking a Surgical Technician (PRN) to support operating room teams under physician and RN supervision. The role involves preparing and maintaining equipment, setting up instruments, and assisting during pre- and post-operative phases in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Required are 2+ years of surgical tech experience and graduation from an accredited program, with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of surgical tech experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be CPR certified; related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Set up instruments and equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions before operation.
• Tend to patient during pre-operation procedures and assist surgical team.
• Prepare patient's skin and medical equipment for surgery.
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with positioning.
• Pass instruments, assist with gowns/gloves, and help count supplies.
• Operate sterilizers, lights, suction, and related diagnostic equipment.
• Care for specimens and assist post-op recovery and room restocking.
