Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to prep the surgical suite, maintain sterile conditions, and assist during operations within a collaborative team. You’ll work with cutting-edge equipment and gain opportunities for education and career growth as part of the HCA Healthcare system.

The role emphasizes safety, patient comfort and teamwork, with on-call support and ongoing training to support high-quality surgical outcomes across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT) preferred.
• CORT preferred
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS required
• One year prior experience in a similar size facility with similar services provided

Responsibilities

• Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments, supplies, and advanced equipment to ensure safe, seamless procedures
• Assisting with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while prioritizing comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the team’s needs
• Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures, responding promptly and effectively to any concerns
• Upholding sterile technique, completing room turnover efficiently, and supporting a high-performing, collaborative team environment
