Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technologist in Janesville, WI, to support the surgical team by preparing instruments and maintaining a sterile field. You will anticipate the surgeon’s needs and assist before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety and quality care in a 40-hour-week, day-shift role.

Requires high school diploma or GED and CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program or current accreditation process; NBSTSA certification preferred or required if not

Qualifications

• Education: Surgical Technology certification preferred, NBSTSA or related credential.
• High school diploma or GED required. Training in sterile technique essential.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days; ACLS/PALS/NRP as unit requirements.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs, gowns, gloves, and sets up sterile table with instruments and supplies.
• Passes instruments to surgeon during procedure and maintains sterile field.
• Maintains highest standard of sterile technique throughout operation.
• Assists with patient placement, positioning, and draping.
• Prepares sterile dressings and cleans the OR after procedures.
