Job summary

Legacy Health seeks a Surgical Technologist to join its surgical services team. You will hand instruments and supplies with precision, preparing suites and supporting nursing staff in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include CST certification for Oregon or within 12 months of graduation, BLS at hire, and 1 year of surgical tech experience preferred. A strong commitment to sterile technique and patient safety is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of a military training program for surgical technologists.
• High school diploma or equivalent; may substitute professional experience if 2 of last 3 years as Surgical Technologist.

Responsibilities

• Participates as part of the surgical team in assisting nursing staff in support services necessary for safe and efficient care of patients within the various areas of surgical services.
• Assist at the surgical field passing instruments and supplies to other members of the surgical team.
• Participates in acquiring, preparing and equipping the surgical suites.
• Assists in non-surgical patient intervention under the direct supervision of a physician or RN.
• May serve as a Core Technician, with responsibility for maintaining sterile technique and providing supplies and instruments as requested.
