Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist certification required.
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist desired.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (CPR) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and anticipate needed instruments, supplies, and equipment for safe patient care and operative procedures.
• Assist perioperative nurse with patient care, airway management, positioning, and transport.
• Safely and efficiently pass surgical instruments and supplies in the OR and LDR.
• Count and prep surgical instruments and supplies; maintain accurate documentation.
• Deliver medications received in the surgical suite to the appropriate operating room via case cart or medication cart.
• Maintain a sterile surgical field and adhere to aseptic technique and infection control procedures.
