Job summary

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
New graduate (0–1 years of experience).
Certification obtained within one year of program completion and BCLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

Reviews procedure and surgeon cards to determine needs.
Assists with setup for procedures with proper instrumentation and supplies.
Passes instruments and retracts for the surgeon at the sterile field as directed.
Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies.
Maintains sterilization and integrity of instruments and equipment.
collaborates to ensure accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments.
Applies asepsis to maintain sterile field.
Maintains OR supply inventory and assists with patient transport as needed.
