Job summary

Atlas Healthcare Partners’ Yakima division is seeking a Surgical Scrub Technician to assist in the operating room with instrument handling, sterilization, and patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires manual dexterity, calm under pressure, and adherence to sterile technique. Candidates must meet basic education and BLS requirements, with state certification as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required where applicable; registration with State Regulatory Agency may be needed.
• Surgical technologist certification standards apply per NBSTSA/NCCT or equivalent programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures, pulls instruments and ensures working order.
• Passes instruments, retracts tissue and assists during surgery.
• Maintains aseptic technique and handles sharps/instruments safely.
• Ensures surgeon preference cards and pick lists are accurate.
• Assists with OR turnover, stocking, and cleaning of operating rooms.
• May provide administrative support to the department.
