Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the operating room team. You will prepare and maintain equipment, set up sterile instruments and drapes, and assist surgeons under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses.

The role requires graduation from an accredited surgical technologist program, certification as a surgical technician, and CPR certification with 0-2 years of related clinical experience. This position is on-site in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
Must be a certified surgical technician.
Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
Sets up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions for operations.
Tends to the patient during pre-operation procedures.
Transports patients to the operating room and assists with positioning.
Passes instruments and other supplies to surgeons and assists during procedures.
Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
After surgery, helps clean and restock the operating room.
