Job summary

UPMC East Hospital is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist to support the Operating Room. The role involves assisting in ortho, robotics, vascular hybrid, and other service lines, with shifts starting as early as 6am and options for 3, 12-hour or 4x10-hour weeks plus occasional on-call time.

Sign-on bonuses are available based on experience, with tiered amounts up to $25,000 for 2-3 year commitments and up to $12,000–$25,000 for different experience levels.

Qualifications

• CPR required for Surgical Technologist.
• CST or Tech in Surgery-Certified within 6 months of hire.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Arrange sterile setup for procedures and pass instruments to surgeons.
• Prepare sterile supplies and assist in cleanup of the operating room.
• Assist in patient preparation and positioning for surgery.
• Ensure aseptic technique and safe operating room environment.
• Maintain and restock operating room supplies and equipment.
