Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in operating room operations under surgeons and nursing supervision. You will prepare equipment, set up instruments, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, instrument handling, assisting with gowns/gloves, and ensuring accurate counts. Requires completion of an accredited technologist program and CPR certification with 0-2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• A graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• Must be certified to perform CPR with 0-2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions before operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and ensures sterile technique.
• Prepares patient's skin and medical equipment for procedures.
• Assembles and checks both sterile and non-sterile equipment.
• Gets patients ready for surgery and helps transport them to the operating room.
• Assists surgical team with gowns, gloves, and instrument passage.
• Counts sponges, needles, and supplies; disposes of specimens as needed.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
• Transports patients to recovery and restocks the operating room after procedures.
