Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team in assisting surgeons, preparing sterile fields, and maintaining patient safety throughout procedures.

The role requires adherence to sterile techniques, knowledge of HIPAA and EMR use, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment. On-site, full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
• BLS certification required on hire.
• Previous hospital Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Must own a cell phone interfacing with secure messaging system.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients’ rights and provide compassionate, high-quality care tailored to individual needs.
• Check supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures.
• Open sterile supplies and set up sterile table with instruments, equipment, and medications for procedures.
• Initiate a Time Out per Universal Protocol to prevent wrong-site or wrong-patient errors.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards throughout procedures.
• Gown and glove surgeon and assistants; pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
• Prepare and apply sterile dressings and assist with room setup for next patient.
• Assist in terminal cleaning of the room and prep for next case.
