Job summary

Surgery Partners, Inc. is seeking a Surgical Technician (Full-Time) to support operating room teams.

The position involves four 10-hour shifts, assisting with patient prep, instrument handling, and maintaining a sterile field throughout procedures. Responsibilities include receiving reports and room assignments, preparing for procedures, assisting with draping and patient transfer, and ensuring instruments are properly processed for the next case.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives report and room assignment.
• Performs surgical hand scrub according to procedure.
• Prepares for procedure: checks case cart, opens supplies, scrubs, gowns and gloves, sets up for procedure, checks equipment and counts.
• Assists the team into gowns and gloves; helps drape patient and sterile field; anticipates physician needs to maintain a safe environment.
• Keeps RN informed on specimens, changes in the procedure, infection status; handles instruments and prepares for closing counts.
