Job summary

Vetted Solutions seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during procedures across all age groups, ensuring patient safety and surgical efficiency. Evening, night, and weekend shifts with on-call rotations are included.

You will prepare operating rooms, assist in patient care tasks, manage instruments and specimens, support wound care, and participate in team and quality initiatives. The position offers competitive pay, shift differentials, and benefits such as health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Surgical Technology is required.
• Applicants post-December 2020 must become certified within six months of graduation.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, patient assistance, and surgical protocols.
• Ability to work in a clinical environment, follow policies and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms by aseptic techniques, set up instruments, and verify surgical sites.
• Assist in patient care tasks, connect clinical equipment, and support wound care and dressing changes.
• Maintain supply counts, handle specimens, and dispose of sharps and linens appropriately.
• Participate in surgical briefings, verify medication labeling, and assist with billing for services.
• Support admission/discharge processes and act as a preceptor for students.
• Perform quality control, assist with specimen collection, patient transport, and emergencies.
• Join on-call rotations and contribute to a collaborative surgical team.
