Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
• ARC/STSA- or NBSTSA-certified, or meets MA Surgical Technologist certification requirements.
• 1-2 years of experience as a Surgical Technician in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs the role of a resource surgical technologist.
• Performs scrub duties per procedure with high skill and aseptic technique.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to facilitate efficient, high-quality patient care.
• Participates in staff meetings and in-service presentations.
• Maintains accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before, during, and after procedures.
• Keeps knowledge of national patient safety goals up to date.
