Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Surgical Technologist to assist in operating room operations. The role involves setting up equipment, assisting surgeons, and maintaining sterile technique during procedures.

Expect 36-hour weekly shifts across 3x12-hour schedules with a focus on patient safety and teamwork in a fast-paced OR environment. Prior acute care experience and NBSTSA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as surgical technologist in an acute care setting: 2-3 years required, 4 years preferred.
• NBSTSA certifications (CSFA or CST) preferred.
• Knowledge of SPD Sterile Room; multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Participates in time-out procedures.
• Attains extra supplies and equipment as needed.
• Sets up equipment independently.
• Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team.
• Monitors and assesses operating room conditions with the surgical team.
