Job summary

Carle Health is seeking Surgical Technicians to join the Operating Room team in a role supporting intraoperative patient care. The position offers full-time and part-time shifts with opportunities for sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance.

Candidates should have an associate degree or certificate in surgical technology, with BLS certification and strong teamwork skills to assist in sterile technique and perioperative procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in surgical technology as a baseline requirement.
• Experience accepted in lieu of formal education per policy.
• Knowledge of perioperative care and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Applies asepsis principles to maintain a sterile environment.
• Assists with room turnover and setup for next patient.
• Charges for equipment and supplies and maintains stock.
• Responsible for sterilization, disinfection and documentation.
• Performs scrubbing duties and assists with patient positioning.
