Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to support safe, efficient surgical procedures within the operating room. The role ensures equipment readiness, sterile technique, and accurate handling of instruments and implants.

The technician will assist with patient positioning, draping, and passing instruments to the surgeon while maintaining strict adherence to policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• CST certification within twelve months of hire.
• CPR – Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surgical operating room with drapes, medications, solutions, instruments, equipment, implants and supplies.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
• Passes instruments to physician during surgery and accounts for instruments and supplies.

Education

Graduated from an accredited Surgical Technologist program
