Job summary

North Shore Surgi-Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative teams under surgeon and nurse supervision. You will help prepare the operating room, arrange instruments, and maintain sterile technique to ensure efficient surgical flow.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program and CPR certified with 0–2 years of clinical experience. The role includes PTO and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CPR certification with 0–2 years of clinical experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures.
• Sets up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions for operations.
• Tends to patient during pre-operation procedures and prepares skin, drapes, and equipment.
• Assembles and checks sterile and non-sterile equipment and ensures proper function.
• Assists in patient transfer, positioning, and Draping; helps with gowns and gloves.
• Passes instruments, holds retractors, counts supplies, and assists with specimens and dressings.
• Operates sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment.
• Cleans and restocks the operating room after operations.
