CareWell Health in New Jersey seeks a certified Surgical Technologist to maintain a sterile field and support the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and sponges during operations.

You will set up the OR, prepare patients, assist with device sterilization and equipment like sterilizers, lights, and suction, and ensure compliance with NBSTSA or AST certification and BLS-CPR.

Candidates should have at least two years of acute care experience and be willing to work holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a post-high school program accredited by CAAHEP.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Must be certified by NBSTSA or AST.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a sterile field and assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures and sponges.
• Set up the operating room and organize sterile instruments, linens, solutions.
• Operate equipment such as sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and electrosurgical units.
• Prepare patients for surgery and transport/position them on the table.
• Scrub in, wear sterile attire, and provide sterile items as needed during procedures.
• Care for specimens and assist with dressings as directed.
• Clean and restock the operating room and attend training sessions.
