Job summary

Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and nurses during operations and ensure sterile, ready equipment for each case. You will prepare trays, maintain instruments, and respond to MD requests while supporting patient safety across age groups.

The role requires a formal surgical technology program, NBSTSA certification, CPR, and a minimum of two years of experience or internship completion. Day shifts with full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a formal accredited Surgical Technology Program or military training required.
• Certification through NBSTSA required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience preferred or completion of an accredited Surgical Technology internship.

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with healthcare team and staff.
• Demonstrate flexibility to changes in workload and schedule.
• Set priorities, solve problems, and respond quickly to emergencies.
• Communicate effectively (oral and written) to meet patient care needs (neonatal to geriatric).
• May assist during basic robotic surgery cases after competency assessment.
