Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team in a fast‑paced environment. You will prepare the sterile field, pass instruments, and assist in various procedures to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

The role requires knowledge of aseptic techniques, readiness to work with OR equipment, and strong teamwork and communication skills. This position includes call requirements and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aseptic surgical techniques used in preparing materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of operating room equipment and instrumentation.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe operating room and sterile field for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and staff by passing instruments and preparing supplies.
• Set up and transport equipment, ensure timely room readiness for each case.
• Respond to equipment or supply issues and notify staff as needed.
• Support patient positioning and transporting duties and maintain HIPAA and safety standards.
