Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin seeks a Surgical Tech to support aseptic preparation and instrument handling in the operating room. You will assist surgeons, maintain a sterile field, and help move and set up equipment for each case, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the procedure.

The role requires completion of a Surgical Technology program, BLS certification within 6 months, and strong customer service skills, with on-site shifts and call requirements as needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technology program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 6 months.
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques and OR equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clean, safe and efficient area conducive to optimal patient care and aseptic prep.
• Performs procedures and maintains knowledge of various surgical procedures.
• Ensures OR disinfection, safety and efficiency; sets up and returns equipment after cases.
• Functions as a Second Assistant as needed and communicates equipment issues.
