Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the operating room team at St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee. You will assist with preparing equipment, maintaining aseptic technique, and collaborating with RNs to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

This regular, full-time role requires ability to lift and move supplies, follow lab and procedure protocols, and communicate effectively with the care team during procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience or graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• Experience in operating room settings or graduation from an approved surgical technician program or nursing education equivalency for licensing.
• BLS HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Practices and implements the technical components of patient care under the supervision of a RN.
• Collaborates with the RN and other healthcare professionals to implement the plan of care.
• Prepares equipment, supplies and resources based on an individualized plan of care.
