Job summary

AdventHealth in Kansas is seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. You will support the surgical team, maintain sterile technique, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for procedures.

The role requires strong knowledge of sterile processing, patient safety, and teamwork. Full-time day shifts with weekend rotation, competitive benefits, and opportunities for career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military training in Surgical Technology.
• 1+ year experience as a surgical technologist in an operating room.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain sterile field and aseptic technique at all times.
• Assist in assembly, set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of sterile instruments and supplies.
• Support the surgical team with necessary instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.

Job Description:

Provides and maintains a safe physical environment. Adheres to standards and protocols when working in the operating room and sterile processing. Displays working knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies. Follows department and hospital policies and regulatory standards. Maintains aseptic technique at all times. Carries out responsibilities in an appropriate manner. Works collaboratively as a member of the surgical team. Manages workload efficiently. Uses equipment proficiently and safely. Assists in the assembly, set-up, maintenance, and breakdown of the sterile field. Supports the surgical team by providing necessary instruments and supplies. Participates in the care of the surgical patient. Other duties as assigned.
