Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under supervision. You will help set up the OR, prepare patients for surgery, pass instruments to surgeons, and support the sterile field to ensure patient safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of OR experience, BLS certification, and the ability to work as part of an agile patient-care team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Experience: 3–5 years in operating/procedure room; leadership experience preferred.
• Licenses: BLS and NBSTSA CST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operating room setup and patient preparation for surgery.
• Pass instruments to surgeons; maintain sterile field.
• Monitor operating room conditions and assist as a team member.
• Lead junior staff as needed.
• Perform time-out procedures and obtain extra supplies.
