Responsibilities

• Assists in setting up the surgical operating suite with instruments and supplies (20%).
• Utilizes aseptic technique and standard precautions; handles medications and specimens per policy (20%).
• Assists with patient positioning and draping; participates in surgical pause to ensure correct patient and site (20%).
• Adapts to surgeon preferences and patient care variables; contributes to updating materials (20%).
• Performs sponge, needle, and instrument counts (10%).
• Promotes cost-effective and efficient environment for patients (10%).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
