Job summary

Surgery Partners is seeking an enrolled Surgical Technologist to assist in operative procedures under surgeon and nurse supervision. The role emphasizes maintaining a sterile field, preparing instruments, and supporting the surgical team to ensure patient safety.

Required: enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program and current BLS certification; 0–2 years of clinical healthcare experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and actively completing an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
• Assemble sterile and non-sterile equipment and verify proper functionality.
• Maintain the integrity of the sterile field throughout the surgical case.
• Assist with positioning patients safely on the procedure table.
• Assist with preparation, labeling, handling, and disposition of surgical specimens.
• Apply dressings as directed and transfer patients safely after procedures.
• Assist with instrument decontamination and sterilization processes.
• Support the surgical team and maintain patient safety and comfort during procedures.
