Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• NJ requirements under Surgical Technologist law to be considered.
• BLS certification is required.
• 6 months OR experience strongly preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program and Certified Surgical Tech.
• Ideal candidate will have 1 year surgical scrub experience.
• National certification preferred.
• Self-starter with strong time management and multitasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide sterile instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures.
• Assist in maintaining sterile field and instrument counts.
• Communicate patient information to the RN throughout the shift.
• Adapt to workload changes and possible room/ scrub assignments.
• Support team during emergencies with calm judgment.
• Participate in unit/department quality improvement activities.
