Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgery team. In this role, you will scrub during operative and invasive procedures, prepare instruments, and help maintain sterile fields.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technologist course, two years OR experience (ASC experience preferred), and ORT certification preferred. US armed forces training in surgical tech is also valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• US armed forces training in surgical technology

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
