Job summary

SCA Health in Alabama's Tuscumbia area is actively seeking a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgical center team. The role involves scrubbing during procedures, instrument prep, and maintaining a sterile environment to support high-quality patient care.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technologist course, and OR experience. ORT and ASC experience are considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification required.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course required.
• Two years previous operating room experience preferred.
• ASC experience preferred and ORT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
