Methodist McKinney Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to fill the scrub role across surgical procedures, supporting surgeons and nurses by preparing instruments and maintaining sterile technique.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, certification as a Surgical Technologist, BLS, and up to two years of OR experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with a focus on patient safety and efficient operation of the OR.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Two years previous experience as an operating room technician desired.
• Current BLS

Responsabilités

• Decision making concerning equipment and/or instrumentation sterilization.
• Bio hazardous waste disposal.
• Patient care and patient flow.
• Complies with hospital practice standards regarding competent performance duties.
• Creates a safe environment in which surgery may take place.
