Methodist McKinney Hospital in McKinney, TX is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join its OR team. The successful candidate will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, Surgical Technologist certification, and current BLS certification; two years of operating room experience are preferred. This is an on-site role with hospital-wide responsibilities and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
• Two years of operating room technician experience desired.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Sterilize equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure patient care and patient flow.
• Maintain sterile technique and adherence to asepsis standards.
• Assist surgeon in scrubbed cases.
• Prepare supplies and equipment for upcoming cases.
• Maintain a safe environment in compliance with OSHA and infection control standards.
• Restock operating rooms to PAR levels and manage supplies.
• Document sponge, needle, and instrument counts per policy.
• Transport instruments to decontamination and back.
• Support hospital staff and team members in duties.
