Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist. You will function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, ensuring instruments are cleaned and prepared for processing.

You will assist with post-procedure cleaning and room turnover between patients. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of Surgical Technologist training, and at least two years in an operating room; ASC experience and ORT certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years previous operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Completed training program for surgical technology in the armed forces, the National Guard or USPHS.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
